As Shadowstar slowly faded from his sleep, the sound of his busy Clanmates began to fill his ear. Raising his head, he was blinded but also in awe at the beautiful golden scenery outside, soaking in the scene of golden wheat bending in the soft breeze. He remembered his elderly father speaking to him as a kitten, murmuring that how this is what StarClan had to look like.

Shadowstar's leadership was debatable, they said, especially with what he was. Way back in the day when Clans were separated, he would've been extremely against the code, with his father being a deputy and his mother a medicine cat. Nobody knew about their secret romance that had blossomed under the stars, and some whispered that he only became leader because of favoritism. Shadowstar was too childish, they said. But Lionstar had argued that Shadowstar was just what DawnClan had needed: happy.

The sound of bubbling in the creek in camp caught his attention. As he stepped out of his den, he spotted his newest deputy, Hailcloud, shoving her brother's head under the water. Thornstripe flailed about wildly, bubbling and gurgling as he struggled for his freedom. Bumblestripe and Rosepetal's romance had come unexpectedly as well. The silver warrior had left Dovewing after her infidelity and fell in love with his childhood crush. Their kittens...well, they were interesting. "That'll wash your mouth out, Thornstripe." The deputy cackled as she stepped back, her gentle-naturedbrother stepping back and stumbling away.

Murkystorm watched the scene from narrowed, scrutinizing eyes. DawnClan was a pushover, same as its leader and deputy. What happened to the old stories of the Clans, of the war and triumph, not just the sappy cooperation? Rising to his paws with disinterest and an already grumpy mood, the spiky-furred warrior trudged out of camp with his ears pinned. He needed to kill something, or someone.Thieving Ferret 16:01, December 28, 2018 (UTC)

Maplepaw, being the young age she was, prodded the edge of Aspenfern's tail. The tabby didn't seem to mind the attention - after all, she remembered, neither she nor Maplepaw knew if they were related to the old Clans. Maplepaw had come in as an extremely young kit, an orphan with no ties to family, and Aspenfern herself didn't know of anyone in her family, having grown up similarly to Maplepaw. The tabby warrior saw this as a sign that she should protect the young apprentice. Crowfrost, meanwhile, thought gently about how he wanted a friend to keep him company, spacing out by himself for a moment to think about it. In the process, he accidentally crushed a pawful of basil. Darn it... I've got to be more careful...' -- you're the sunflower, i think your love would be too much 02:52, December 29, 2018 (UTC)

Thornstripe and Hailcloud watched as Murkystorm disappeared from camp, Thornstripe's eyes narrowing as he grew suspicious of the dark tom's behavior. "He was never this strange as a kitten. He's been shady ever since he started sneaking out of camp all of the time." The dark gray tabby warrior muttered under his breath, while his sister shifted at his side, the deputy seemingly unbothered by the disappearance of the dark warrior. Instead, Hailcloud's eyes darted to the awake Shadowstar, racing over to him in long, smooth strides.

"Shadowstar! Are you going to pick my partner-in-crime today?" She asked, referring to the second deputy that would guide the clan alongside her. She had been picked as deputy a few moments before Shadowstar left to get his nine lives, and he was yet to make his second choice. He had time, a few days to be exact.

"Not yet. I'm still deciding between a few individuals. And I won't be giving you any spoilers." The black smoke leader eyed Hailcloud, watching her frown in disappointment. He knew she was impatient and was eager to discover who she'd be working alongside. "Why don't you take out a few patrols to distract yourself?" Shadowstar was excited to go out himself. He loved to take long strolls in that beautiful meadow his clan lived in, as embarrassing as it would seem.Thieving Ferret 22:44, January 3, 2019 (UTC)

Bramblefire padded into camp with prey, her brother, Heronflight, following. The pair had just been on a successful hunting trip, and both dropped their catches on the fresh-kill pile.

"Nice catches." Their sibling, Storkwing, padded up to them. She'd been busy with other matters, and inspected the haul. "This'll be good for the queens. I should ask whether they want some." The black-and-white she-cat cast a lpok over at the nursery.

Bramblefire nodded. "Hmm, not a bad thought, actually." The dark tabby picked up one of her catches and went to see the queens, leaving Heronflight and Storkwing by the fresh-kill pile. They eyed each other for a moment before Heronflight turned and went into the warriors' den. Bramblefire was the peace-maker of the siblings: due to their often-conflicting viewpoints, it was certainly common for Heronflight and Storkwing to argue. --forever and always 03:34, January 4, 2019 (UTC)

Juniperstream, despite his generally quiet nature, approached the medicine den to talk to Crowfrost. Despite the fact that Yarrowwhisker and Storkwing were both similar in liking she-cats, he'd never found someone to talk about toms with, and Crowfrost never tended to mind. The medicine cat's ears twitched as the ebony warrior's voice called gently from outside. "Hey, Crowfrost, mind listening for a moment? There's this super cute loner tom I just spotted while on patrol..."

The medicine cat shrugged and quietly buried the basil he'd crushed, noting he'd need to get more later. "Okay, Juniperstream, I'm done. Continue about this tom you saw." Despite me never getting a mate for life, it's good to hear the cats talk about whatever crushes they have. It does keep me company when I listen to Juniperstream and the others.

Yarrowwhisker sat near Aspenfern and Maplepaw, and the three she-cats each thought about different issues - Maplepaw, how she felt about not knowing her family; Aspenfern, about what she could do to help out more; and Yarrowwhisker, about herself, and about... someone else. Don't think about them, it'll only make you upset. -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 03:53, January 4, 2019 (UTC)

"Shadowstar! Shadowstar!" Around the corner came Skippaw at full speed, his eyes round with enthusiasm and his body quivering with excitement that simply couldn't be contained anymore. He came to a skidding halt before his mentor, while Hailcloud took an uncertain step away from the scene. "Lookkit at what I can do!" With an unimpressive hop forward, he flattened a leaf that had drifted into camp. It was so ridiculously pathetic, but too freaking cute for Shadowstar to tell him otherwise.

"Good job!" The leader commented innocently, recalling that he was all that Skippaw had left in the world. His family had been taken from him at such a young age, leaving him to look up to Shadowstar with all the love in the world. Like it or not, he was his family now. Assessing the situation, Hailcloud tipped her head to the side and commented that Shadowstar should take his energetic apprentice out on that patrol he was talking about.

While Murkystorm was exiting camp, he was caught up by Blackfire, who circled him impatiently. "You said it would be soon, Murkystorm." He spoke up in a restless tone, the tall red tom stopping to face the dark warrior with his shoulders squared. "I can't stand it anymore, we must begin! We must begin now!" But before Blackfire could urge him on any further, Murkystorm knocked him off of his paws and onto his back, pinned like a helpless turtle.

"I told you to keep your voice down, maggot." Murkystorm's breath was hot against his flesh, and his claws were dangerously to his clanmate's throat before he finally stepped away, spikey fur bristling higher than normal. "And if you won't be patient...you just won't have to hang around any longer. Do I make myself clear, Blackfire?"Thieving Ferret 04:33, January 4, 2019 (UTC)

Heronflight huffed as he sat down in his next. Now... now he was a little bit irritated. Just a little.

Storkwing let out a mrrow of amusement as Skippaw ran around excitedly near Shadowstar. She remembered when she'd had that boundless energy when she was an apprentice. One day, I'd like to become a mentor, she reflected. She certainly wouldn't get one yet, not at this stage. --forever and always 05:08, January 4, 2019 (UTC)

Yarrowwhisker watched Heronflight enter the warriors’ den and scoffed. Can’t believe he’s not completely obliterated his sister. The orange tabby sighed to herself as Aspenfern murmured, “Hey, Maplepaw and I are gonna go train. You wanna come?”

“I’m okay here, Aspenfern.” That was true - despite her quiet and often lonely state, she did appreciate being alone at times. “You and Maplepaw probably have a lot to do anyway, and I don’t want to interrupt.”

“Alright, Yarrowwhisker. Come join us if you want to.” —- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 19:05, January 4, 2019 (UTC)

Bramblefire dropped the prey off for the queens, before returning into the main section of camp. It was with no surprise that Heronflight and Storkwing had parted ways. They'd never gotten on well since she'd confessed to the siblings that she only liked she-cats - Heronflight hadn't kaen it very well. It was as if, Bramblefire reflected, he was struggling to come to terms with it. --forever and always 00:20, January 6, 2019 (UTC)

Crowfrost listened to Juniperstream with bright interest. As the ebony tom described the details, he formed the image in his mind. After all, it was all he could do anyway - the clouded-eyed medicine cat was born blind in one eye, and the other only blinded with time. "He had this reddish tabby pelt, the brightest green eyes you've ever seen, sort of similar to that ancient Firestar fella from the old Clans, if you remember that."

"I see images sometimes of him in my dreams, Juniperstream." The ebony tom murmured a response as the image formed in his mind. His visitor paused in his description as he heard Yarrowwhisker call for him. "SeeyouCrowfrostI'vegottog." Crowfrost knew it was worthless to respond, as the warrior had already dashed out of the den. -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 00:47, January 6, 2019 (UTC)

"...Very." Blackfire grumbled under his breath, ears angling backwards as Murkystorm sent him a final glare before disappearing into the undergrowth. He was uncertain as to where the black smoke warrior went for so long, and he knew that the dark tom would never share it with him. Blackfire could only wait and see what was to happen.

Ambersong sat outside of camp in the field, her eyes staring endlessly into the horizon. Her mother had recently passed, leaving her feeling empty on the inside. The gentle-natured warrior got along very well with Sunstrike, and had looked up to her every step of the way. But now, she was on her own. Her mother was confident she'd do just fine, but Ambersong was uncertain, nervous.Thieving Ferret 01:20, January 7, 2019 (UTC)

Stretching her paws, the fluffy warrior padded into the encampment, her blue visionaries flickering across her surroundings as firmly a freshly killed rabbit dangled from her maw. At her side, her loyal apprentice padded in with an absolutely defeated expression. Stormpaw had failed to capture any kill for the clan, and Otterheart had to catch a rabbit that had gotten away from the over-eager molly. Twitching her docked appendage in a memory reflex, the dark brown mentor dropped the rabbit at the paws of her apprentice. "Add this to the fresh kill pile before taking prey to the queens and elders, then you may rest and choose your own meal." She spoke firmly, but her tone held a touch of softness. Touching her nose to the cheek of Stormpaw, who hurried off to fulfil her tasks, Otterheart exhaled out a tired breath before she turned to pad to a nearby body of water to sate her thirst.

Mewing with amusement, the young ginger molly chased after Cloudkit, playfully bounding around the young ferocious soul who returned each bat of a paw with his own despite not even being a quarter of the size of the large she-cat who took strongly after her grandfather Lionheart, who also was her namesake. Glancing over her shoulder, Lionsong eyed the tiny ball of black fluff that sat outside of the Nursery, pupilless blank eyes staring up at nothing. Her blindness was not inherited or caused by malice, but instead the outcome of a mistake. The young kit had been found with mud covering her eyes, nose and body, and it had finally been washed away, she had been rendered blind. Twitching her fluffy ears, the kitten toddled toward the scent of Cloudkit, who she was being raised alongside as a brother.

Sandclaw, Fawnwish and Hawktalon padded into camp, they had been out following along the set borders, always seeming to desire to push further out. The clan was getting larger and larger, the surplus of food meant nearly all kittens were thriving. Digging his claws into the earth, Hawktalon broke off from the others who decided to collect some food for their starving bellies, and he instead padded to his den; he didn't feel hungry. Mother of Ferrets 07:33, January 7, 2019 (UTC)

Storkwing joined the warriors that were proceeding to get food. Despite her not being out of camp much today, she’d had her paws full dealing with other things inside of it. Bramblefire did not join her sister: instead, the dark tabby she-cat’s gaze flicked towards Hawktalon heading off to his den, before returning to look at those cats getting food for themselves. --forever and always 07:53, January 7, 2019 (UTC)

"Alright Skippaw, let's head out." Shadowstar beamed down at his eager apprentice whose whiskers quivered with excitement. Turning, the leader took his apprentice out of camp, the ginger tom hot on his mentor's heels and gabbing on about how his day had been so awesome so far. And it was only the morning! Twitching his whiskers in amusement at Skippaw's constant jolliness, Shadowstar began to direct the ginger tom, "we'll work on some hunting strategies first."

Hailcloud's ears perked with interest as her leader left camp, understanding that this left her in charge while he was out. Yeah, some responsibility! Thornstripe exchanged a concerned glance with his sister, who only grinned in response to this notion. "Don't do anything too mouse-brained, Hailcloud." The laidback warrior warned his littermate before slipping off, leaving the deputy to scoff after him.Thieving Ferret 15:55, January 7, 2019 (UTC)

Despite Yarrowwhisker's call for him, Juniperstream realized she only wanted a little company to go out. "As long as we're going on patrol, I'll come with you. There's someone I want to see." The tabby shook her head, and he shrugged. "I guess I'll see you later, then." He watched his sister exit quietly. The ginger tabby made her way through the forest, following the creek up the path. -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 21:45, January 7, 2019 (UTC)

Storkwing took a sparrow from the fresh-kill pile and sat down near the medicine den, nibbling at it. Meanwhile, Heronflight proceeded to doze in his nest in the warriors’ den, as he figured that he may as well rest if he was in here. --forever and always 23:22, January 7, 2019 (UTC)

Yarrowwhisker calmly followed the creek path, coming to the peak point - a larger stream, large enough to take a swim. She didn't want to swim, but the small puddles in camp always frustrated her - she wanted to get lost in the image of the water. -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 23:35, January 7, 2019 (UTC)

Turning as his temper slowly began to grow, Blackfire realized that the time was now. Murkystorm was taking it too slowly, they had to act before it was too late, before they missed their chance. His impatient pacing took a quick turn for the worst as he turned away from the forest border before breaking out into a run towards the outskirts of the golden field. Horrible things were on the agenda, and it would begin now.Thieving Ferret 22:12, January 9, 2019 (UTC)

Eventually, Storkwing finished the sparrow, and the black-and-white cat stood up, gazing towards the camp entrance. She felt something pulling her outside the camp - well multiple things. She'd been in the camp for a while, so she was getting a bit of cabin fever... and she also needed a break from the hustle and bustle of Clan life. So, deciding that she needed some time alone, the warrior made her way out of camp, intending on spending some alone time with a walk around the territory. --forever and always 23:13, January 9, 2019 (UTC)

Despite her attempt to simply stare into the water, Yarrowwhisker's paws dipped as well as her eyes followed a small fish. From up the stream, meanwhile, a crackling sound was heard... -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love

Crouching low to the water, her pink tongue tentatively flicked out to taste the water; it was quite cold and she felt it's chill go all the way down to her stomach. Feeling a shiver spark up her spine, the warrior grit her teeth before she quickly gulped down the water, slightly hissing as the freezing water flushed through her veins, sending a prayer to StarClan that it wouldn't bring on a sickness chill. Rising to her paws once she sated her thirst, Otterheart trekked back to the centre of camp, those azures watching her surroundings keenly.

Stormpaw had selected a large pheasant and was settled down sharing her bird with Pantherkit and Cloudkit, the two kittens listening keenly as Stormpaw taught them how to pluck the feathers to reveal the flesh. Twitching her whiskers, eyeing the two youngsters with the love of an older sister, the young molly continued to tear into the flesh of the bird once she had finished plucking her side. She had taken the back of the pheasant, whereas the two kittens had the easy, soft flesh of the stomach to tear into.

Warmth filled the heart of Lionsong as she watched Stormpaw's selflessness behaviour, sitting comfortably with her tail wrapped around her fluffy body, those green visionaries bright and happy. Their life was serene after the disaster after disaster that had befallen the clans. It was peaceful, safe... harmonious. But it also meant they had grown fat, lazy and secure, almost like kitty pets. Flicking her tail, Lionsong rose to her paws and padded from the camp to make dirt.

"Back off, Sandclaw!" Fawnwish hissed lowly to the cream tom, who merely smirked smugly down at the enraged she-cat. He wouldn't stop attempting to seduce the feisty molly, despite the knowledge of her interest in she-cats. Digging her claws into the earth, she glared up at him as he spoke once more. "Come on, Fawnwish~ You don't know if you don't like it if you haven't tried it. After all, don't you want a piece of this magnificence?" He purred in his low, flirtatious tone. "No, mouse brain! I don't! Now leave me alone!" She seethed once more before marching off toward the dens, immensely flustered and stressed. She passed by Hawktalon whose silver eyes glared after the sandy coloured tom who was harassing a fellow WindClan descendant, in fact, her father was the medicine cat under his own father Harestar. Hissing, the mottled brown and white tom stalked off to go cool down. Mother of Ferrets 07:53, January 11, 2019 (UTC)

(oh look i'm finally joining rp) Iceheart yawned, her paws stretching out above her. She blinked her eyes and peeked outside, taking note of the sun's position against the sky. Agh, she thought immediately. It's so late! She scanned the camp for the other cats. Everyone's already awake and working...how could've I overslept like that? she scolded herself. ~ broken crayons still- color ~ 01:57, January 12, 2019 (UTC)

With Yarrowwhisker, Maplepaw, and Aspenfern out of camp, Juniperstream felt a sense of loneliness. -- Crowfrost poked his head out of the medicine den, settling himself on the ground. -- Yarrowwhisker shrugged as she decided she'd just dry herself off later, slipping inside the chilly water. Still, from up the stream, the crackling grew... -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 11:51, January 12, 2019 (UTC)

Addercreek had wandered into camp with a feeling of laziness in her. She was tired from walking around and patrolling. She felt like maybe she had overworked herself, practically limping, she hauled herself along DawnClan camp floor, making her way near the den to sit down outside it comfortably and sun herself and relax. -Marshywillow stay with me... my blood 16:19, Janurary 14, 2019 (UTC)

Shadowstar watched his apprentice, albeit too eager and therefore poor at the task at hand, with a soft glow of pride in his eyes. Skippaw reminded him of himself when he was an apprentice, or...er, at least how he always was. Perhaps too energetic and easily distracted cats paired together was a poor choice, but the apprentice looked up to the mentor, who was all he had left. "Look, Shadowstar! I got it!" He finally managed to wrangle that leaf. Well...maybe they could take a shot at real prey now. Or a stick.

"Hey! I actually have something for you to do!" The deputy called after her littermate, who ignored her as if she hadn't mentioned anything. Huffing angrily, Hailcloud raised her voice to ensure that Thornstripe heard her, standing on the tips of her stubby paws to make extra effort. "HEY! I'm talking to you, Thornstripe! Go find Ambersong! She's been gone since the crack of dawn."Thieving Ferret 20:31, January 14, 2019 (UTC)

Addercreek stared long and hard at the commotion - with the sudden shouting - well - not shouting but for sure it was enough to jolt her awake from falling asleep outside the warriors den rather than inside. Although she knew she wasn't meant to be staring, the clan probably knew she watched drama and commotion or even conversations as a onlooker, than getting involved. She'd never admit herself though that she was nosy. So, to avoid any sort of interaction - she said nothing but craned her head back around, perking her ears down. She went back to stare and twiddle with her paws. She did wish she could do more for her clan. -Marshywillow stay with me... my blood 21:21, January 14, 2019 (UTC)

Almost on cue and absolutely not because stork said screw it, a shattering sound was heard from up the stream. Yarrowwhisker was unaware of this until she heard the sounds of rushing water. "What in the name of-" The tabby'd never finish, tragically. -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 00:14, January 15, 2019 (UTC)

Storkwing was very coincidentally near the stream as well - though out of earshot rom Yarrowwhisker speaking - and she too heard the defeaning sound of something happening up the stream/ The she-cat flattened her ears at the noise, wondering what in the name of StarClan it could be. She certainly hadn't heard a noise like that before... --forever and always 01:37, January 15, 2019 (UTC)

Despite never finishing her statement, Yarrowwhisker's tabby head still poked from the water, and although coughed up, she screamed - screamed as loud as she could, which was honestly pretty limited. I need to get out of here... but how?! If I don't make it out soon, I'll definitely drown. Her head slipped under the water as the next wave hit her. I can't die now... -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 01:49, January 15, 2019 (UTC)

Storkwing, however, did hear the scream - the piercing scream. The warrior's ears priced up at once. From a distance, she certainly couldn't tell whether this cat - there was no denying that it came from a feline - was Clan or not. However, that didn't influence the she-cat's decision. Quickly, the she-cat ran in the direction of the sound. No cat deserves to die. --forever and always 01:57, January 15, 2019 (UTC)

Yarrowwhisker's eyes caught blindingly on an overhanging branch, and she dug her claws in, pulling her head to the surface. The water had overwhelmed her easily, given how unprepared she was, and she knew simply she'd have to wait, have someone else find her, or give up. She didn't want to wait, but upon the thought crossing her mind, she dug her claws in harder to the branch. "S-Someone, anyone, please..." -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 02:23, January 15, 2019 (UTC)

Storkwing burst out onto the edge of the stream, but couldn't see anything. For a moment, the black-and-white warrior looked around, wondering what way to go next. Where - Her thoughts were broken off by a whimper, indicating that she was near this cat, this cat that had been likely caught up in the mess with the stream. Cautiously, she followed the direction of the voice, silently hoping that she wasn't going to be met with a dreadful scene. --forever and always 08:28, January 15, 2019 (UTC)

Addercreek realised indeed a good couple of warriors were missing. Should she get up and investigate? But- she was so tired. Thoughts ran endlessly through her mind, she pondered maybe investigating to try at least see if they were okay - was she worrying over nothing, what if they were just patrolling? She really hoped later that everyone was unharmed. Even if she didn't know them that well. -Marshywillow stay with me... my blood

"Alright! I'm not deaf." Thornstripe glowered at his sister from over his dusky shoulder, turning away from her with in irritable swish of his tail. As he exited camp, he began to mumble to himself about how frustrating his sister was ever since she became deputy, but he kept that much to himself. His strides widening as he picked up his pace, Thornstripe began to attempt to track down Ambersong.Thieving Ferret 21:01, January 15, 2019 (UTC)

Yarrowwhisker's constant moaning quickly turned to more, and it was getting progressively harder for her to hang on. I can't - I just can't! Her accelerated breathing and lack of available oxygen made it harder for her to breathe, and she resisted the urge to give up. -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 10:54, January 16, 2019 (UTC)

Storkwing followed the moaning at a quick pace. It didn't take her long to reach the scene, and her eyes widened when she saw Yarrowwhisker. Without help, she would certainly be at risk of drowning, especially with the stream being the way it was. The warrior hesitated as she tried to contemplate whether she should swim out to try and save her - despite the strong currents - or find another way. --forever and always 19:08, January 16, 2019 (UTC)

The field was ominously quiet, save for the smallest breeze that caused the golden wheat to dance and rub against one and another. The air seemed off as soon as Thornstripe entered the area, causing the hair along his spine to stand as the chill ran through his veins. With a hesitant paws, the dark warrior stopped in his tracks to assess his situation, growing anxious.

Something was terribly wrong.

"Ambersong?" The son of Bumblestripe called out nervously before stepping forward, suddenly becoming bold and desperate in his search for the ginger warrior. His pace quickened and the dry wheat whipped at his face before he stumbled upon a devestating scene. Ambersong was there, but she was no longer alive. Her eyes were still stretched round with terror as they stared up endlessly at the sky, and the hints of white along her belly and legs were tinted pink from her own blood. Something had done this, and they would pay.

No, someone.Thieving Ferret 20:45, January 17, 2019 (UTC)

Storkwing fought her way to the current slowly, struggling for a moment against it. The warrior was certainly not the best swimmer around, but she did know how to do so. Yarrowwhisker's orange head noticed Storkwing's white one, but the tabby was already short of breath and losing energy. She swore she wouldn't drown, but she was already worn out from what she'd done earlier. Nonono, dont you dare think of giving up... Storkwing noticed Yarrowwhisker's amber eyes close as she reached for the ginger cat's scruff. He had to act fast, before this murderer striked again. Pushing off on his powerful hind legs, Thornstripe raced over to where Shadowstar and Skippaw commenced their hunting, leaving Ambersong's remains temporarily. They could clean up and prepare her body for vigil later on. Right now, getting this news to his leader was urgent, therefore retrieval would have to wait. Spotting the leader and red apprentice through the wheat mixed with wild grass, Thornstripe continued forward without hesitating to slow down until the last moment, skidding to a halt and leaving Skippaw to leap a few fox-lengths in the air out of shock. "Shadowstar!" Thornstripe gasped for breath, shaking his head to avoid accidentally swallowing and choking on the small gnats that roamed the field. "A-Ambersong! She's dead! There's a murderer out here, somewhere. His or her scent, it smelled of DawnClan. It was no rogue." He spoke out in short bursts, desperate to give out his message.

Furrowing his brow both nervously and seriously, Shadowstar turned to his terrified apprentice and spoke sternly. "Skippaw, get back to camp and warn Hailcloud. You'll be safe there." Such seriousness was very unlike the leader, but he was hungering after making a good impression. Everyone viewed him as such a pushover. Maybe he was?

"Noooo!" The red apprentice cried out and clung to his mentor's legs with his paws wrapped around the smoky limbs of Shadowstar. The adult stared down at Skippaw in a mixture of concern and bemusement, attempting to shake him off and only to fail. "The m-murderer is out there, Shadowstar! I'm scared. He might get me!!"

"Alright." With a final sigh, Shadowstar allowed his red apprentice to get his way. Ok, maybe he was a pushover, but he also cared for the tiny tom greatly. They were family now. "We'll go back together. Thornstripe, wait there at Ambersong's body, see if the murderer comes back to clean up his mess." With a firm nod of understanding, Thornstripe turned and booked it back to the bloody location.Thieving Ferret 03:35, January 29, 2019 (UTC)

As Storkwing (eventually) pulled Yarrowwhisker to shore, the orange tabby felt herself losing consciousness... Come on... You can't let her... The thought stopped as sudden nausea hit her and she lost consciousness. -- Juniperstream was starting to become anxious, and as Aspenfern and Maplepaw returned from their training session, both noticed the panicked look in the tom's eyes. -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 10:39, February 9, 2019 (UTC)

A safe distance from the scene, Blackfire watched with intense interest as Thornstripe hurried back to the tattered figure of Ambersong's remains. The red-based tom managed to crack a smile, revealing sharp fangs with tufts of the deceased she-cat's fur stuck in between them. The time was perfect, and the Clan ripe for the taking. Those mouse-brains just couldn't see it. Satisfied with the horrors he had committed, Blackfire turned his back on Thornstripe and Ambersong before disappearing into the undergrowth, oblivious to the awful fate that awaited him.Thieving Ferret 23:40, March 9, 2019 (UTC)

Silvermoon waitched, her tail twiching.

-Texas

Iceheart stared at the DawnClan camp, bored and clueless on what to do. No one seemed to notice her wake, or they just simply didn't care. She soon spotted Deersong, sitting by the den, who seemed to also have overslept. (i'm literally rping with myself now xD) Their eyes met, and soon both looked away. Iceheart knew she shared the same hatred as Deersong did for her. Although, the cheerful cat would never confess such a negative thing. ~ broken crayons still- color ~ 00:29, March 21, 2019 (UTC)

(Lol) Silvermoon glanced at Iceheart. "Hey, Iceheart! Want to go hunt?" Silvermoon sprang up, knocking down a huge rock, which tumbed down the hill.

Shadowstar safely escorted his apprentice back to camp. With the murderer of Ambersong failing to show his or her face, Thornstripe followed the leader while dragging the body. While he didn't know Ambersong on a personal level, Thornstripe swore to avenge her by finding the killer. Murkystorm mysteriously appeared and confronted the three on the way back, so the large smoke warrior offered to help carry the body to camp.Thieving Ferret 01:17, March 22, 2019 (UTC)

Squirrelfang sat at the entrance of the nursery, her compact build barely covering the whole of the entrance. The tabby queen was watching Sorrelkit and Ruddkit bounce around, those two eager than Maplekit and Wolfkit at having become apprentices any day now. The tabby queen glanced up as Graywolf, her mate, moved into camp and the two energetic kittens scrambled towards their father.

Wolfkit sat in the shadows, his dark blue optics watching the activity. The silvery-blue tabby still held onto the flicker of dreams he now lived in. He let his thick, long-furred tail cover his massive paws. As a kitten, he was already the size of a full-grown apprentice and being the biggest out of his littermates. —InuKago  life is an illusion 20:24, March 24, 2019 (UTC)

With Yarrowwhisker gone, Juniperstream approached Crowfrost's den with gentle steps. "Crowfrost...?" The blind tom's ears perked up at the sound of the green-eyed warrior. "Yes, Juniperstream?" From across camp, meanwhile, Maplepaw exited smoothly and quietly, hoping to find something interesting. -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 02:47, March 25, 2019 (UTC)

Upon barging into camp, the usually-humorous leader furrowed his brow and shouted out the name of his deputy. "Hailcloud!" Shadowstar approached her with a few long, swift strides, while Murkystorm and Thornstripe carried in the body of Ambersong behind him. "There's an unknown killer on the loose. I want patrols doubled in numbers and activity to keep all members safe. Nobody may leave camp without permission, especially be themselves." He wanted this cat tracked down, and immediately.

Murkystorm and Thornstripe lay down the body of Ambersong in the center of camp before Thornstripe raced off to the medicine cats to have the body prepped for burial. Murkystorm seemed steamed, more than usual, like something was really under his skin. And something was. He had business to attend to...he knew what happened.

Late to the party, Hawkfoot poked his head out of the warriors den with his yellow eyes round with interest in and confusion. Camp seemed to have exploded in activity with cats coming and going, and some, apparently, never rising again. Ambersong was dead? How? Who, for that matter? DawnClan had finally lived its life in peace now that the land had recovered, who would dare to disturb such wonderful times?Thieving Ferret 02:57, March 25, 2019 (UTC)

Silvermoon looked sadly at the body. Then glanced at Hawkfoot, and dashed to him.

"Hi!" She meowed, happily . -Silvermoon

"Good morning," Hawkfoot greeted, before failing to resist the urge to cock his head at Silvermoon curiously. "How are you so happy at a time like this?" He motioned to the fallen figure of Ambersong. It was customary to mourn for deceased clanmates, and the warrior himself had been quite fond of Ambersong, they had interacted from time to time. She had always been a very kind-hearted warrior, very generous, perhaps a good queen someday. But alas, some heartless murderer had taken her life. Thieving Ferret 14:11, March 25, 2019 (UTC)

" I am not, but am trying to distract myself. " She sighed. Silvermoon sat beside him. "Poor Ambersong. Whoever did  this will pay with their life. " she snarled. Then Silvermoon sat, up, and looked at him. "You want to go hunt?" Her gaze had grief in it, and she was worried about him. -Silver

Graywolf greeted his kits with minimal excitement, dread hung over him as he saw the body of Ambersong. His pale eyes turning towards Shadowstar and Hailcloud as he inched closer, nudging the kits back towards their mother as he listened in.

Squirrelfang moved forth, having heard the commotion and news. The tabby queen moved her kittens back towards the nursery. —InuKago  life is an illusion 20:01, March 25, 2019 (UTC)

With the return of Ambersong's body, Crowfrost pushed past Juniperstream, muttering quickly, "Sorry Juniperstream, I'll talk to you later." His nose led him to the smell of the body, and in his jaws were herbs. Juniperstream's ears flattened, worry still clouding his gaze. Yarrowwhisker, where are you?! Where have you been... Suddenly he thought of someone else missing - Storkwing. -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 23:58, March 25, 2019 (UTC)

After a while, Fawnwish finally calmed her boiling blood, those green optics narrowed on the body of Ambersong with high suspicion, her tail wrapped over her paws neatly. Ambersong was a beautiful she-cat, and it fathomed her how someone could harm such a creature. Shaking her head in disbelief at what greeted her upon her return to camp, her eyes flickered to Hawktalon, the mottled tom held a dark expression across his features, his muscles tense yet rippling with the emotions he had been feeling. It caused Fawnwish to instinctively tense up seeing the tom so enraged and upset, like a beast backed into a corner prepared to lash out at anyone who even touched him back an inch further. Swallowing her spit nervously, the feline refocused on the body of Ambersong.

Despite his usual behaviour that could be deemed distasteful, Sandclaw had become brooding and sombre after the arrival of Ambersong's body. He, admittedly, found her quite attractive, a she-cat who he could have proudly see swell with his kittens. But instead, her life was ended and now she ran with their ancestors much as his own parents did now. Lashing his plumed tail, the tom rose to his paws and sought out comfort from a random she-cat, of whom he padded off with out of camp.

Lionsong had quickly removed Stormpaw from camp at the sight of the body being carried into camp, and instead stood in the training area, watching Stormpaw spar against unseen cats. Lionsong didn't think Stormpaw required more battle training, but it kept the apprentice's mind focused elsewhere, and anywhere was better than the body of a fellow clanmate murdered in cold blood, allegedly at least. For all she knew, the molly could have been attacked by a hungry predator. Shaking away her thoughts, she refocused on Otterheart's apprentice.

Otterheart narrowed her eyes as she perched over the three quivering kittens at her stomach. The warrior felt a protective instinct toward the kittens of the clan, especially seeing the deceased body of their former clanmate. It didn't sit right with her, and a hiss escaped her lips with a thirst for blood; whoever killed Ambersong, could easily come for these very three kittens next. Peering down to Cloudkit, Pantherkit and the tiny Nightkit, the warrior lashed her docked tail as she hunkered down lower, using her body to cover the kittens from view. Mother of Ferrets 00:47, March 26, 2019 (UTC)

Wolfkit watched the scene from a few feet away, his eyes darkening with an odd interest in the scene before. The scent of death only seemed to intrigue him more. She had spoken of the thrill it brought, the thrill of how one cat could decide so easily whether someone lived or not. He felt his lips twitch at that, an interesting cruel sneer on his lips before he turned away, long fur brushing the ground as he moved to find a quiet, solitaire place where he could be with his thoughts. He abandoned sleeping in the same nest as his mother now, the training with Hela only seemed to grow more dark as he continued. A five moon old kitten training with a well-known Dark Forest leader. Although, not a Clan cat. Hela was powerful, ambitious even and she enjoyed watching the torture of others; maybe even his own? {{SUBST:Nosubst|User:InuKago/Sig}} 00:53, March 26, 2019 (UTC)

After exchanging a few brief words with Hailcloud, Shadowstar broke off away from his deputy with long strides. He bounded in the direction of the meeting place with his ears flattened out of his frustration for the situation. It was dire that he warned his clan immediately of this present danger, to prevent any further deaths while the murderer was on the loose. Briefly crouching down to spring, Shadowstar leaped onto High Rocks. "Cats of DawnClan! Join me!" It was no traditional call, but that wasn't important at the moment.

Thornstripe 'raised a brow' at Fawnwish as he stood over Ambersong's body with round eyes. Keeping his jaws shut tight, the gray tabby awkwardly slid away from the other tom to join his leader beneath High Stones for the meeting. Hawkfoot responded to Silvermoon that hunting would have to wait until the murderer was caught before he followed Thornstripe's lead.

While the cats gathered, Murkystorm stood briefly by Ambersong's crumpled form before slinking out of camp with his fur bristling. He had  to have a little...chat with a certain someone.Thieving Ferret 23:36, March 26, 2019 (UTC)

Crowfrost's ears perked up, and Juniperstream, with the lack of his sister, nervously settled by Aspenfern. Maplepaw was still outside camp, looking for something interesting. -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 01:46, March 27, 2019 (UTC)

Collectively, the present warriors padded toward High Rocks. Fawnwish broke away from the group to crouch by herself, her tail curled over her paws. Hawktalon and Sandclaw sat side by side, but not before the mottled brown tom sent the sandy cat by his side a harsh glare. Otterheart neared the crowd, gently ushering the three kittens toward their foster mother, the smallest being Nightkit who mewled to the ginger queen hungrily. SIlvermoon leap up, and purred. She loved meetings! Then she glanced at the body, and sat down, grief clouded  her eyes. SilverMoonTX (talk) 02:25, March 27, 2019 (UTC)

Squirrelfang narrowed her sharp eyes at the new kittens, ones that weren't her own. She wanted to snap at them and push them away but the tabby warrior was not cruel enough to let the kittens die from starvation especially with her being the only queen right now. She sighed and hesitantly brought them closer her sharp eyes meeting the gaze of Graywolf, worried and confused at the Clan meeting. —InuKago  life is an illusion 00:26, March 28, 2019 (UTC)

Aspenfern's head snapped sharply at the sound of purring, her eyes clouded with her disappointment. Juniperstream went back to thinking about Storkwing and Yarrowwhisker. Neither them are here... Where could they be? Are they in trouble? Crowfrost, from beside Ambersong's body, had his ears pricked and angled towards the gathering of cats - focused on his work, the blind tom listened in on the meeting on the side. -- it's time to start defying gravity, my love 00:51, March 29, 2019 (UTC)
